Found something broken? Try the quick fixes below first. If it’s still broken, send us a report using the steps further down. And if you’ve found a security vulnerability, we pay for responsible disclosure through our bug bounty, covered at the bottom of this page.

Try this first

Most issues clear up with one of these. They’re ordered by what fixes problems most often, so start at the top.

Hard refresh the page

If a page or tool loads halfway or freezes, force a full reload with a hard refresh: Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, or Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows. This reloads the latest version without clearing anything else.

Clear your cache and cookies

If a hard refresh doesn’t do it and pages still load wrong or show outdated info, clear your cache and cookies (in most browsers: Settings, Privacy, Clear browsing data), then refresh.

Try incognito, or turn off extensions

Ad blockers and privacy extensions can break parts of the site. Open AfterQuery in an incognito window, and if it works there, turn your extensions off one at a time to find the one causing it.

Turn off your VPN

A VPN can make your location look different from where you actually are, which breaks identity verification and payment setup. Disconnect it and reload before trying again.

Switch to desktop

If something breaks on your phone, like an upload, try a laptop or desktop browser instead.

Not getting our emails?

Payout notices, project invites, and login emails all come from us by email. If you’re not seeing them, check your spam folder and add @afterquery.com to your contacts so they don’t get filtered.
Tried these and it’s still broken? Send us a report using the steps below.

How to report a bug

Include all of these so we can reproduce the issue quickly:
  1. Page URL. The exact page where it happened.
  2. Your AfterQuery email. The one you log in with, so we can find your account.
  3. Device and browser. For example, “Windows 11, Chrome 120” or “iPhone 14, Safari iOS 17.” Include the version if you can.
  4. Steps to reproduce. A short numbered list of what you did right before it broke.
  5. Time it happened. The date and time, with your timezone, so we can check our logs.
  6. Screenshots or error messages. Attach a screenshot or video, or paste the exact error text. Make sure any error codes are visible.
A well-documented report gets fixed much faster, and it helps us improve the platform for everyone. If your bug is about a payment or payout, also include your most recent payout date and the country on your bank account. That helps us trace it quickly, since most payment issues come from a location or account mismatch.

Security bug bounty

Found a security vulnerability? Earn up to $1,000 for finding and responsibly reporting it. Every valid report earns a reward based on how serious the issue is. The bigger the potential impact, the bigger the payout.
Don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re glad to help. The more detail you include, the faster we can find the problem and fix it, which makes the platform better for everyone.
To submit, use the same template above, fill in the steps to reproduce, and add a short note on the impact (what someone could actually do with the vulnerability). Mark the subject as a security report so we prioritize it.

Where to send it

Email your report to security@afterquery.com Paste the template above into the email, fill it in, and attach any screenshots. We’ll confirm we got it and follow up if we need anything else to reproduce the issue.
